Playwright

As an established writer, playwright and long time member of the Writer's Guild of Great Britain I can offer television and radio scripts, comical sketches, stage plays, poems, short stories, and historical & technical articles at low cost.

I have been writing for over thirty years and was for nine years secretary of the Havant and District Writers' Circle, and organising secretary for seven years for the very successful international Dorothy Mauger short story competition where annually the Mayor of Havant gave out the prizes for the best short stories.

The work which I've been engaged in over many years have been with the BBC and in the science area of Oxford University where, as an instrument maker I learned sufficient skill to enable me to make miniature furniture, the plans of which I can now offer to the public, and most of which have been published.

Being a member of the Writer's Guild has allowed me to visit the BBC television centre and other television venues where I've gained experience in writing television scripts.

I've also taught writing locally and held competitions to help students of writing to gain experience.

Since I enjoy the older types of Ballads, I wrote one myself called "Tell Me - Tell Me" which has been produced by the Guild of Songwriters' on to a master CD and which has been highly praised. As a member of the Guild of Songwriters I have been privileged to have access to their extensive advice and help.
